Its not often that the phrase cut-and-paste can be used to compliment a games visuals, but with mind-bending platformer And Yet It Moves this is absolutely the case the games graphics, you see, are made almost entirely from torn sheets of paper, glued together to construct a game world unlike anything youve seen before. That the game-mechanics underneath are equally original makes for an experience that is not only one of the premier games on Nintendos WiiWare channel, but also one of the most beguiling titles of recent years.
GamingExcellence: It's hard to say exactly what is so enticing about the Metroid series. Ever since its conception on the NES, it's been a wild ride with Samus, seeing her take on planets of enemies, crazy aliens, villanous races, and a host of various aliens that just seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The games all have their similarities between them, though the odd title switches up the formula. Metroid Prime was entirely in first-person, Metroid Fusion added the deepest storyline that the series had to date.
NintendoLife: It seems that Samus Aran is unwilling to stand still and get too comfortable, successfully reinventing her adventures in 3D for a second time with Other M. It's an excellent shake-up to the series, one that will satisfy long-time fans with an open mind while also able to ease newcomers into the series with a bang of bangs. It may not be the Citizen Kane of gaming, but it's still essential playing.
