D+PAD Magazine: And Yet It Moves Reviewed

D+PAD Magazine writes:

Its not often that the phrase cut-and-paste can be used to compliment a games visuals, but with mind-bending platformer And Yet It Moves this is absolutely the case the games graphics, you see, are made almost entirely from torn sheets of paper, glued together to construct a game world unlike anything youve seen before. That the game-mechanics underneath are equally original makes for an experience that is not only one of the premier games on Nintendos WiiWare channel, but also one of the most beguiling titles of recent years.

NintendoLife: Metroid - Other M Review

NintendoLife: It seems that Samus Aran is unwilling to stand still and get too comfortable, successfully reinventing her adventures in 3D for a second time with Other M. It’s an excellent shake-up to the series, one that will satisfy long-time fans with an open mind while also able to ease newcomers into the series with a bang of bangs. It may not be the Citizen Kane of gaming, but it’s still essential playing.

GamingExcellence: Metroid - Other M Review

GamingExcellence: It’s hard to say exactly what is so enticing about the Metroid series. Ever since its conception on the NES, it’s been a wild ride with Samus, seeing her take on planets of enemies, crazy aliens, villanous races, and a host of various aliens that just seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The games all have their similarities between them, though the odd title switches up the formula. Metroid Prime was entirely in first-person, Metroid Fusion added the deepest storyline that the series had to date.

We Hardly Knew You

Game Informer: Over the years video game characters have quickly come and gone without warning. Like a one night stand, you enjoy the short time spent with these individuals and really want to do it again sometime, but probably wont. Ever. They wont return your phone calls and probably wont be showing up at your doorstep for another go anytime soon. Here are a few characters who we had some good times with and would like to see more of, even though they’re not coming back.

Eurogamer: And Yet It Moves Review

Eurogamer writes “There’s no dumb back-story to wade through. No feeble attempt at scene-setting exposition. Just you, trying to gently coax a badly drawn boy through a ripped-up two-dimensional world to an elusive exit. With the press of a button, you can pause the action and literally tilt the entire environment through 360 degrees - and everything in between.”

Eurogamer: Tom Clancys H.A.W.X.2 Review

Eurogamer writes “H.A.W.X. 2 seems uncomfortably aware of its limitations and so goes out of its way to break up the aerial dogfighting. The trouble is that in doing so it risks alienating the niche audience that is perfectly happy with lots of aerial dogfighting, without offering enough to attract a more mainstream audience.”
